CDT rEaCt alumn, Dr Linden Schrecker, has successfully launched his own spinout company, SOLVE, which aims to use AI to improve the manufacturing of drugs and fertilisers.

The interdisciplinary nature of the CDT rEaCt was foundational to developing the technology behind SOLVE (spanning chemistry, chemical engineering and machine learning) and also for learning how to communicate across disciplines to build an effective multidisciplinary team. Dr Schrecker worked with CDT rEaCt Director's Professor Mimi Hii from the Department of Chemistry, and Professor Klaus Hellgardt from the Department of Chemical Engineering.

SOLVE will offer its services to a range of clients from across the chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
