Molecular mechanisms of disease

This theme focuses on the underlying molecular mechanisms of human diseases such as cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, genetic disorders of the musculoskeletal system, and bacterial infections. Research in the theme ranges from structural studies of target molecules to preclinical cancer models, with the aim of developing new modes of diagnosis or treatment.
