Would you like to learn more about databases and reference management tools? If so, our training workshops are for you. This week we are offering training in ProQuest and RefWorks. Workshops take place at the Central Library, South Kensington. Book your place now. 

ProQuest – Tuesday 24 January 12.00 - 13.00
ProQuest covers major areas of research, including materials science, environmental sciences, biological sciences, engineering and computer science. This workshop will cover techniques and tips for getting the best results out of ProQuest and will include a practical hands-on session.

RefWorks – Thursday 26 January 2012 12.00 - 13.00
RefWorks is a web-based package that is particularly useful for undergraduates preparing projects and dissertations, and taught-course postgraduates who don't use the same PC all the time.This hands-on workshop will cover techniques and tips on how to import references from databases or text files, build up your own database of relevant references, add correctly formatted citations to word documents and build a bibliography.
