Want to do an internship in a charity but can’t afford to work for free?

Applications are now open for "Charity Insights PhD" or "Charity Insights Undergraduate"

"Charity Insights" is a new Careers Advisory Service initiative aimed at Imperial College undergraduate and PhD students. The purpose of the initiative is to offer students a chance to experience working in the voluntary sector through a short work placement opportunity. The internships are 4 weeks (or 20 days if you prefer to work part-time) in length and can be taken at a time convenient to you and your host charity during summer 2012.

The scheme requires you to find your own internship within a charity or statutory body. Imperial College Careers Advisory Service will then offer you a bursary of £220 a week over the four weeks you complete your internship. We have a limited number of PhD bursaries and undergraduate bursaries.

Full details of the scheme, including an application form can be found at: http://www3.imperial.ac.uk/careers/internships/charityinsights.

If you have any questions about the scheme please email internship.unit@imperial.ac.uk.

Please note that the deadline for 2012 applications is 12.00 on the 21st May 2012
