Welcome to Wouter Buytaert who has joined the EWRE section.
Welcome to Wouter Buytaert who has joined the EWRE section as a Lecturer in Hydrology. Wouter graduated with an MSc in Environmental Engineering from the University of Leuven, Belgium in 2000 and obtained a PhD from the same university in 2004. He was a Research Fellow at Lancaster University and the University of Bristol before joining Imperial College London in 2009.
His research activities focus on water resources management and environmental change, especially the impact of land use changes and climate change on hydrological processes and water supply. His work includes field research, mainly on hydrophysical soil properties, rainfall-runoff modelling, rainfall patterns, data assimilation and uncertainty analysis. His research focuses on tropical areas, with a particular interest in South American and African mountain regions."
