Imperial College Foundation spotlight

The Imperial College Foundation is a non-profit corporation, incorporated in Georgia, USA, which enables Imperial's alumni and friends in the USA to provide tax exempt philanthropic support to the College.

The Imperial College Foundation makes regular grants to the College, based on the wishes of donors, to support the Annual Fund and other projects at the College. So far this year, two extraordinary gifts of $50,000 (approximately £32,600) have been made towards two of the College’s Annual Fund priorities, the Student Opportunities Fund and the Junior Research Fellowships Fund.

"All levels of donations from US-based alumni of Imperial are fundamentally important for the foundation to continue functioning as a tax exempt charity,” commented Jonathan Spatz, Vice President of the Foundation. “The growing support from alumni over the 20 years of the Foundation's existence is a testimony to the high regard we have for our College experience and the opportunities it provided us in our lives. Gifts to the Foundation allow us both an avenue to demonstrate our gratitude and an opportunity for continued interaction with the College in support of the current students and faculty."

On behalf of the Foundation, current Imperial students will be contacting alumni in the USA over the next few weeks to inform them of the work of the Foundation and to ask them to consider making a donation.
