By Danielle Reeves One hundred staff at Imperial College London have been recognised for their hard work with promotions announced today. Academics from across the College's Faculties of Natural Sciences, Engineering and Medicine, as well as the Business School and Department of Humanities, have been promoted to senior lecturer, senior research fellow, reader and professor. The title of professor is reserved for an individual who has achieved international standing and demonstrated international leadership in their relevant subject or profession. Today's announcement includes 27 new professors. We met three new professors from the Departments of Physics and Bioengineering and the Division of Epidemiology, Public Health and Primary Care, plus one new senior lecturer from the Department of Humanities to find out about their research and how they feel about being promoted.
