PUBLIC SECTOR FORUM - Careers Advisory Service: Thursday 19 November 2009

STUDENT

An excellent opportunity to find out more about the Public Sector and provide a networking opportunity.

In the recent economic crisis more and more people are turning to the Public Sector as an area to launch their career. Last year when other areas of graduate recruitment were serious hit the Public Sector was still bouyant.

This forum will offer you the chance to hear more about the variety of roles within the Public Sector and how working in this area differs from industry or commercial environments. Speakers will represent the Foriegn & Commonwealth Office, Department of Business Inovation & Skills (both Civil Service Departments), Financial Services Authority, Defence Science and Technology Laboratory, The Royal Household and Teaching. The nature of the work means that in some cases jobs in this sector are only open to UK or EU nationals.
